I do not find these vise-grips to be any easier to open than those with a trigger release. They are more expensive than the trigger release version, and are of good quality, but I feel that I paid additional money for no additional benefit.

Quality wise, it look and feel good, but, practicality, totally off point... The so call "fast release" is totally the opposite... I'm a carpenter and locking clamps are our daily tools and I have to be able to unlock the clamp with one hand while I'm on a step ladder, with this I have to use both hands to open it, even more if I have to Se use the piece(metal studs) very well, the regular ones, with the release trigger are much easier and practical to use. I'm sorry but for me it was a bummer and a waste of money, and I bought two of these. And none of my coworkers want them either!.

They work, but are harder to release than others... also, one of the springs broke on my 3rd time clamping it... looks like one of the hooked ends broke off.

Suck compared to Milwaukee. If you actually do metal stud framing don't bother. The only reason I tried them is because of people stealing my other clams because everyone has the same ones. But it's not worth the headache to deal with these

Great little locking clamps! They're probably a bit smaller than you're anticipating so keep that in mind.
